Acupuncture works safely alongside conventional medical treatment. However, if you have any concerns regarding an existing condition or about alternative and complementary treatments, please do seek your GP's advice.

In order to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients' care and healing process Shion may sometimes refer patients back to their GP for blood tests or to adjust their medication for example.

Having spent 12 years working as an acupuncturist within GP practices in West Wales Shion has maintained a close working relationship with the local medical profession. She has treated patients in hospitals and care homes, assisted births and provided palliative care.

Shion regards positive integration of conventional medicine and acupuncture vital for the welfare and safe care of the patient.
